We took a beautiful, but uncomfortable bus ride from Luang Prabang to our next stop in Laos, Vang Vieng. The six and a half hour ride wound through the mountains on a one lane road filled with trucks, cars, kids, dogs and a whole lot of livestock. The air conditioning didn't work and apparently guardrails next to 1000 foot drops never crossed any one's mind.
