There is a turtle that lives in Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi. Legend says that it is 700 years old. It is considered great luck to see the turtle. As we were walking around the lake, we heard screams of joy from the Vietnamese locals as they crowded around the lake. We walked over and sure enough, the turtle made an appearance. Hopefully that means good luck for us in 2010.
Look really close in the center of the picture to see the turtle's head popping out of the water.
