Well, we TRIED to go to China. Our flight left on time this morning at 10am, but about an hour and a half into the three and a half hour flight, the plane turned around and went back to Hanoi, sighting snow on the runway in Beijing (in fact we heard the airport closed down for a time today).
Without going into all the details of the day, suffice it to say, Vietnam Airlines did a horrible job handling the whole situation.
This picture is of everyone trying to get answers out of the VA employee once we arrived back in the Hanoi airport. Basically, all VA did was put everyone on a bus and sent us back to the center of Hanoi to the Vietnam Airlines headquarters, where everyone had to hope they could book a seat on one of the regularly scheduled Hanoi to Beijing flights later in the week.
