Vinh Moc Tunnels
Next stop on the DMZ tour was the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Basically, a North Vietnamese coastal town near the DMZ of 500 people lived under ground for 6 years to hide from South Vietnamese and US attacks. 17 children were born in the tunnels. Unlike the Cu Chi tunnels we visited near Saigon, these tunnels and underground bunkers were left the exact size and structure they were during the war. Pictured is Whitney and our guide entering the tunnels.
