Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

This morning, we visited the Mausoleum of Uncle Ho Chi Minh. His body lies in state here under strict guard (except for two months during the year when his body is sent to Russia for embalming). No cameras are allowed inside and they keep the whole area under very tight security. Here are the posted rules to follow when entering the mausoleum (no joke - and they were actively enforced while we were in there):
- People in shorts or tank tops will not be admitted
- Nothing (including day packs, cameras, mobiles etc.) can be taken inside
- Maintain a respectful demeanour at all times: no talking or snickering
- Photography is absolutely prohibited inside the mausoleum
- It is forbidden to put your hands in your pockets
- Hats must be taken off inside the mausoleum building
