Ho Chi Minh Trail
Next stop was to see a small part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, a road stretching 700 kilometers from North Vietnam to the South used to suply the North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong. The trail also ran into Laos (which were are 20 kilometers from standing at this spot) and Cambodia.
We stood on the Ho Chi Minh Highway to see these two views of this section of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The trail was obviously not paved during the war and was also covered with dense vegetation to stay hidden.
The sign pictured describes the chronology of the trail and the highway.
