Bunker

We finally reached the bunker atop the highest hill at the fire base. There were three bunkers at this location, but this is the only one that remained standing. As you can see, it has taken a lot of hits inside and out.

This was a prized position by the US and South Vietnamese because you had a great view into the North to spy on the other side. Our guide said that the North Vietnamese Army attacked this position constantly during the war. "The ground shook every day," he said.
